I believe that turkeys are sentient beings who deserve compassion and freedom. I object to the exploitation of turkeys in our industrial food system, where they are treated as products and endure systematic abuse.
I acknowledge and express gratitude for the many people who bring nourishing food to my table, and I support a fair and sustainable food system for us ALL — animals, workers, communities, and our planet.
Therefore, I pledge to join Farm Sanctuary in leaving turkey off my holiday plate and celebrating with a vegan feast.
This simple act makes an important statement, inspiring kindness in others who join me at the table, while advocating for the estimated 46 million turkeys who will be killed for this Thanksgiving alone.
