Ban the Slaughter of Downed Animals

On factory farms, stockyards, and slaughterhouses across the country, hundreds of thousands of farm animals who are unable to stand or walk under their own power are forced to their feet and led to slaughter every year. They’re often beaten, dragged, or shocked on the way to slaughter, or are left to suffer for days before they are killed. Some of these sick and ailing individuals end up on kitchen tables and school lunch trays.

Farm Sanctuary is suing the USDA to extend the ban on the slaughter of “downed” cattle to protect sick and injured pigs. But we urgently need your help to keep the pressure on.
